Poetry Guidelines

• Submit a maximum of 3 poems totaling up to 8 pages, preceded by a cover letter. 

• Please include your entire submission in one file and be sure your name, contact information, and Anishinaabe tribal affiliation are included on the first page of the file. 

• You do not have to be enrolled but must be able to show lineal descendency.

Prose Guidelines

• We accept flash fiction submissions only. 

• Prose should be double-spaced. Submit a maximum of one piece, up to 8 pages or 2,000 words, preceded by a cover letter.

• Please include your entire submission in one file and be sure your name, contact information, and Anishinaabe tribal affiliation are included on the first page of the file. 

• You do not have to be enrolled but must be able to show lineal descendency.

General Guidelines

• Contributor must have Anishinaabe tribal affiliation (you do not have to be enrolled)

• We do not accept previously published material - this includes work that’s been published on social media and Substack.

• All work should be emailed to lcozinesubmissions@gmail.com. Acceptable file formats include .doc, .docx, and .pdf. 

• Please do not email more than one submission for each category. Any additional submissions will be ignored.

• We will do our best to respond to all submissions within 5 weeks

• Accepted contributors receive one physical copy of the literary review in which they appear

• After publication, all rights, except those stated above, revert to the copyright owner. You (or the copyright owner) retain the copyright and the right to reprint. Please credit Odaawaa Zaaga’iganiing Review as the place of first publication. You are responsible for the content of the Work. Odaawaa Zaaga’iganiing Review assumes no liability.
